LEssence Wrote:Hello,
Does anyone here know about flea market in PJ area? I know there's one in The Curve every weekend, but the goods selling there are mostly cloth. I am looking for something different.
There is a new Flea Market in Centrol Mall, Klang. A lot of unique goods selling there at every weekend from 10.30am to 8.00pm.

haha, funny...

anyway, form where the name flea market comes from?
flea market existed for centuries in europe.
in those old days, fleas were a common problem. commonly found in almost all clothes and bed items. these are the normal items being sold in those markets. even today, most flea markets aka bazaars you find lots of clothings.

thus the name flea market.

New Rules in Amcorp
I'm selling in Amcorp Flea Market for almost a year and was going pretty well and enjoyable although the earning wasn't much (the shoppers there are not willing to spend) BUT, recently they've changed their management and things got UGLY! They are now asking all of us to sign an agreement which I don't think is legal or even fair. Below are SOME of their so call "T & C" that they asked us to sign...

- Your things cannot exceed the table, cant put things in front, not even at the back of the table. All items must be on top of the table and all box below the table

- The presentation of your items must be neat and nice at all times, fail to do so and they can give you a penalty of RM50 and shoot photo of your booth (RM10 per photo taken)

- The management have the right to terminate your booth immediately without any reason and all the payment (rent) given in advance will be forfeit.

We've been following rules and even help out in their events but after collecting our one month rental, they called up the second day telling us that our permanent status has been terminated without giving an explanation and effective immediately. We didn't even got the chance to inform our customers hence loosing alot of customers. And they refuse to refund the rent given as well, forcing us to follow their "rules"

So if you're looking forward in trading in Amcorp... think twice...
