How To SetUp a CYBER CAFE?
Hi All,

I am thinking to open a Cyber Cafe at JB. But i cant get the way to apply the business for Cyber Cafe. I went to Goverment Sector but they just keep teeling me that..."NO licence for Cyber Cafe". I just cant get through...

One of my friend told me Cyber Cafe need a kind of licence call "GAME LICENCE". Have to get it from a private Agency... But I dont understand... Is this true?

License for cybercafe was frozen last year. But this year, it is opened again. To start a cybercafe business, you need to apply for local council license (from Majlis Daerah or Majlis Perbandaran). If you want to have games for your cybercafe, you need to apply the game license from the game company. They will charge you monthly fee. For example, if you want counter strike and half life game license, apply from e-club malaysia. If you want Warcraft game, apply from Sendi Mutiara.

As for windows license, you just buy windows xp license from your hardware supplier. Cybercafe control software license can buy from http://www.cybercafez.com.

If you want more detail, visit my cybercafe at subang jaya. I can tell you more.

Hi just curious. It is kind of difficult to get premises to run cybercafes, right? Why are owners reluctant to rent their shops to cybercafe operators?

neverknowl

1st Step.

SSM license are easy to get. However, to get the Majlis perbandaran, not all states or daerah has cybercafe license. (Kafe Siber).

You need to see the head of the Majlish perbandaran or someone senior that can made decision. They will ADVICE(that has deep meaning also) you on how to get it.
Normally, most cybercafe in small place register as Pusat Komputer.
However, you will get distrub by Police constantly as it is not official license(if you understand what i mean).

Step 2.

Get in your PC and expert in cybercafe maintenance.
(that's where my role are in).
I own cybercafe maintenance company in KL. I can setup the whole system for you.

I have server control (using winxp PRO... no need win2k server) where any online games are updated in the server, you can assign to update on all client.

There are few packages that we can discuss. Either we do the maintenance at RM30 per PC or you can rent our server/client software at Rm10 per PC per month (minimum 30PCs, anything below 30PCs, we will still charge 30PC).

For game licensing, there are 4 company that you need to pay for all popular games in Malaysia cybercafe.

You can PM me if once you have the necessary license.

or you can made a visit to my office in Subang.

** For billing system, don't ever use cafe32 or any other unknown brand.
Only use Ecafepro. It is still the MOST Stable billing for cybercafe (even it has many bugs). the bugs are way much much lesser than cafe32 or anyother billing.

I maintained over 20 cybercafe in KL and 1 in Johor. Those that use cafe32 always got pc restart problem, the money always short... etc etc...
some unpopular billing one, will have problem in the games (ran online or any malaysia chinese games that uses Traditional chinese). Either the game cannot work or the billing will kokup.
